Big rig crash causes delays in Orangevale, officials say

A crash involving a big rig and another vehicle in Orangevale is causing delays on Tuesday afternoon.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at Hazel and Oak avenues around 2:52 p.m. and blocked the intersection.

Officials said the intersection has since reopened, but the northbound slow lane on Hazel Avenue will be closed for approximately two hours.

It was unclear if any injuries were reported.

CHP has advised drivers to avoid the area and use Sunrise Boulevard or alternative routes.
