KCPD finds man shot inside car in neighborhood on NW 63rd Terrace
Kansas City, Missouri police are investigating the sixth homicide since Sunday night. The latest happened in the Northland, near NW 63rd Terrace and NW Westwood Lane.
Around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, police were in the area and got a call about shots being fired. When they arrived, they saw a car that ran into a light pole. Police found a man inside the vehicle, who had been shot. EMS arrived and declared the man dead on the scene.
Police are talking with neighbors who may have heard or seen something.
There is no suspect information at this time.
The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Justin Barstow.
This is the 75th homicide of the year in Kansas City, Missouri.
