Vehicle hits light pole Sunday in Longview

Longview Fire Department responded to an accident Sunday after a vehicle struck a light pole, near the 15th Avenue Safeway.

Eric Koreis, Longview Fire Department battalion chief, said the initial call about the non-injury crash came in at 4:38 p.m. and occurred at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Hudson Street,

The collision caused the pole to break and expose the structure's internal wiring.

Cowlitz PUD and the city street department were called to the scene, and Longview police are investigating the incident, Koreis said.
