Car crashes into a light pole in Visalia

A car crashed into a light pole in Visalia, Police say.

VPD says just before 2:00 on Sunday afternoon officers responded to reports of a vehicle hitting a light pole at the intersection of Riggin Avenue and Bridge Street.

Officers arrived at the intersection and found the vehicle had crashed into a light pole, causing it to fall.

VPD says the driver sustained only minor injuries.

Eastbound Riggin Avenue is closed between Bridge and Lark.

Southern California Edison to remove the downed light pole.
